This weekend we spent Friday night and Saturday with our Friends the Vanderwalkers. On Friday night we met at Cafe Rio (mmm...) and had dinner. It was so funny watching Savoy and their oldest son Max play. They were so cute to eachother and wanted to do whatever the other one was doing!
After dinner we headed to Nielsons Frozen Custard for a concrete(more mmm...). It has been forever since we have gotten together with them and it was a good time!!

We had such a good time the night before we decided to get together on Saturday. We dropped Savoy off at Mat's sisters and went down to Mesa to meet up with Marc and Courtney for the Renaissance Festival!
It was such a nice day, and the festival was very entertaining to say the least. We were all excited and felt like we were "Renni Ready" but I am pretty sure none of were as ready as we thought we were, right Marc?? Lots of people were dressed in costume, it was pretty cool to see.

We all decided we would try and climb "Jacob's ladder". It really didn't look that hard, and we thought for sure one of us could get to the top and win $10!!

It really was a lot harder then it looked, but we all had fun "rollin' in the hay"!!
They had a live joust. It was pretty staged, but entertaining to watch all the knights on the horses going at eachother! It reminded me of the movie A Knight's Tale.
We had a great time, and we are already getting "renni ready" for next year!!

If I realized I was going to get whiplash and not be able to move my neck today, I would have bypassed the Jacob's ladder. Great pics. We had fun, thanks for going with us!

How fun! I went to a Renni festival when I lived in Missouri and loved it... why don't they have one here?!
The REN fair is FUN!!! I went last year for the first time and jsut went agian this year! Except the people I go with dress up too, you can only imagine! ha ha ha
